Summit XI: June 2-4, 2026

Games Industry Law Summit is the annual conference for lawyers who actively practice in the international games industry, with counsels from over 200 studios and law firms spending 3 days together to discuss law in the context of interactive entertainment.

Our community’s core mission is to enable business and creative teams at the studios to execute, operate and protect their games at a global scale. The Summit’s program, curated by the community board, covers the subjects that are relevant and impactful for the studio business here and now – from cross-media licensing to cross-country litigation.

In 2026, we organize the Summit in the first week of June (a low-stress period). As before, the conference runs from Tuesday to Thursday, leaving the Friday for the return travel, and keeping your weekend untouched.

In 2026, the Summit runs at the heart of Europe, in Berlin, at the five-star KPM Hotel & Residences – top-rated for both its hospitality, and its modern facilities. For many of our attendees, visiting Berlin is both faster and cheaper, with multiple travel options and a flexible timetable available (including the train). Depending on how this year’s Summit performs, the conference may remain in Berlin – or continue on its journey across the EU.

In 2026, we offer 360 seats, with a 50/50 split between in-house/executives and law firm attendees. All applications are subject to review by the community board. For new attendees from the well-represented regions, we require referrals from one or more of the studio counsels who would have had practical experience with the specific expert.
