Summit XII: June 1-3, 2027

The Summit is a professional conference for studio counsels, law firm lawyers and executives who are actively engaged in the international games industry. 375 attendees representing over 200 companies from over 40 countries spend three days together, discussing law and interactive entertainment.

Our legal community’s core mission is enabling business and creative teams to deliver, operate and protect their games at a global scale. The Summit’s program, curated by the community board, covers the subjects that are relevant and impactful for the games industry here and now.

The 12th edition of the conference runs in the city of Porto (Portugal) where we combine the structure of the Noble Hall of Alfândega do Porto with the open space of Alfândega’s Quay, connecting the two into a single free-flow conference space with plenty of open air, right on the Douro river. The conference runs in the first week of June of 2027, from Tuesday to Thursday, leaving Monday and Friday for travel and keeping your weekends untouched.

We welcome in-house legal teams and law firms that already have high industry engagement and come with peer referrals. We also have a special block of seats for participants from law firms from underrepresented regions. Where needed, we provide visa support and offer financial assistance where the travel may be otherwise prohibitively expensive.

In 2027, we offer 375 seats, with a 50/50 split between in-house and law firm attendees. All applications are subject to review by the community board. For new attendees from the well-represented regions, we kindly ask for referrals from one or more of the studio counsels who would have had practical experience with the specific expert.
