Games Industry Law Summit –Legal Challenge X
The Summit’s Legal Challenge is the annual moot court focused exclusively on the matters of the international games industry: we accelerate the integration of young legal talent into our professional community, connecting the competitors with mentors and judges who bring decades of industry experience.
In 2026/2027, the moot court will run for the 10th time. The case will focus on copyrightability of LLM-produced content, with an international angle. The registration will open 10/2026, with a deadline of 01/2027.
Each team is expected to submit 2 written memoranda (January-February 2027). The 4 leading teams will then face each other in the semifinals at the oral pleadings (March 2027). The 2 teams that win the semifinals, will progress to the final oral hearing – and will receive complimentary tickets to attend Games Industry Law Summit XII (June 2027, location TBA).
In addition to the prizes awarded to the semifinalist teams, this moot court issues three additional awards: Best Memorandum for Claimant (team); Best Memorandum for Defendant (team); and Best Oralist (individual).
